Marketplace

Welcome to PruTAN's Marketplace, a centralized hub where you can discover, share, and reuse API collections and requests across your team and the broader community. The Marketplace empowers developers and testers to accelerate their workflow by leveraging pre-built, tested, and verified API assets, eliminating the need to start from scratch.

The Marketplace is divided into two main sections: Global and Local, each serving distinct purposes in managing and distributing API resources.

Global Marketplace

The Global Marketplace serves as a repository of default, pre-configured collections and requests provided by PruTAN. These include common API patterns, industry-standard endpoints, and sample implementations that can be used as templates or starting points for your projects. Whether you're working with REST APIs, ISO protocols, or payment processing scenarios, the Global Marketplace offers a curated selection of ready-to-use assets.

Local Marketplace

The Local Marketplace is your team's private repository for user-contributed collections and requests. This section contains assets uploaded by members of your organization, allowing for internal sharing and collaboration. Local Marketplace items are specific to your workspace and can include custom integrations, proprietary API endpoints, or specialized test cases tailored to your business needs.

Uploading to Local Marketplace

To contribute to the Local Marketplace and share your work with your team:

  1. Navigate to the Collections submenu in any module (API, Hostbox, or Interceptor).
  2. Locate the request node or request folder you want to share.
  3. Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the item.
  4. Select the Upload button from the options menu.
  5. The selected request or folder will be uploaded to your Local Marketplace, making it available for other team members to view, copy, or import.

Importing from Marketplace

To import collections or requests from the Marketplace into your workspace:

  1. Access the Marketplace from the side panel by clicking marketplace button from bottom right of the app.
  2. Browse through the Global or Local sections.
  3. Select the desired collection or request.
  4. Choose to Copy the item (to modify and use as your own) or Import it directly into your current workspace. The imported assets will appear in your collections, ready for customization and execution.

Deleting from Local Marketplace

To maintain control over shared assets, only the owner of the workspace from which a specific request or folder was originally uploaded can delete it from the Local Marketplace. This ensures that contributors retain authority over their shared content while preventing unauthorized removals.

If you are the workspace owner who uploaded the item:

  1. Navigate to the Local Marketplace section.
  2. Locate the request or folder you want to delete.
  3. Click on the delete icon or option associated with the item.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Deleted items will be permanently removed from the Local Marketplace and will no longer be available for other team members to view or import.

The Marketplace fosters collaboration and efficiency by providing a seamless way to share and reuse API assets, ensuring consistency across projects and reducing development time.
