PruTAN ISO Sandbox
To create a Sandbox for an ISO environment, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Collection submenu under the Sandbox menu and click the New button.
- In the dialog that appears, enter a label for the collection.
- Select the IPs to whitelist.
- Choose ISO as the collection format.
- Select a
Specfor the collection. - Expand Advanced and specify the
Messagetype andHeader Size. Click Save to create the ISO Sandbox.
Advanced
The rows under Advanced decide what the Sandbox does with a connection from a switch. By default it answers one message and then closes the connection, as it always did.
| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Message | The format of the message content on the connection: bytes (default) or array. |
| Header Size | The size of the length header in front of each message: 2, 4 or 4_VISA. It must match the switch. |
| Idle timeout (s) | 0 closes the connection after every reply (default). -1 keeps it open. A number closes it after that many seconds with no traffic. A switch that signs on (sends a message to say it is ready) and then sends business messages needs -1 or a number. |
| Connection | unidirectional (default): the switch sends, and the Sandbox answers. bidirectional: the Sandbox also sends its own messages on the switch's connection. |
| On connect / On disconnect | Two-way only. Requests from this collection that the Sandbox sends, in order: On connect right after a connection arrives, On disconnect before the Sandbox closes it. Usually your sign-on and sign-off. |
| Total connections | Blank means no limit. A number means the Sandbox refuses any connection above that count. |
The format cannot be changed after the collection is created. A change to an Advanced row applies the next time the Sandbox is started. Sign-on, echo and two-way mode are explained step by step in Sign-on, Sign-off and Echo.
Table View for ISO Sandbox
PruTAN provides a Table View option for ISO sandbox configurations to display
